This weekend marked 38 years of Rihanna: a multi-million dollar beauty business, eight studio albums, and endlessly excellent fashion choices. For her 38th birthday, Rih opted to embrace some special vintage Gucci.

The pop star and mogul stepped out for dinner with her partner A$AP Rocky at—where else?—but their favorite Santa Monica red sauce joint, Giorgio Baldi. From the Merc to the maître d’, this is where Rihanna has served some of her very best looks over the years: below-the-bump Alaia, Balenciaga sets, a suite of vintage handbags and Amina Muaddi shoes. For her birthday dinner, Rihanna opted for a fuzzy vintage Gucci 1999 cropped coat with varying stripes of fur cuffed up to the elbows, with stripes of tiger print. Underneath, she wore a long, clingy, sheer black dress and barely there black stilettos that showed her neon green pedicure. Glam was typically glowy, and she wore her hair long and curled.
